Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) was forced to sit his son Kyle (Huey Quinn) down and essentially prove he’s a massive hypocrite in tonight’s Emmerdale.
Last week, as the girls and Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) faced the icy lake ordeal after their limo crash, the lads and Mandy (Lisa Riley) got caught up in their own nightmare.
Prior to crashing, Caleb (William Ash) confronted Cain about sleeping with Ruby (Beth Cordingly) in front of their friends. His anger towards his brother’s betrayal saw Caleb speed up while driving the limo, eventually being forced to swerve to avoid hitting an oncoming lorry.
Outside, Caleb took his fury out on Cain by brutally attacking him. If Caleb wasn’t pulled away and stopped, it’s possible Cain wouldn’t have made it back to the village alive.
When Cain returned to Butlers, he told Moira (Natalie J Robb) that he slept with Ruby. It was, unsurprisingly, enough to completely shatter their relationship.
In tonight’s episode, Moira pointed out to Cain that while he’s pushing everyone away right now, one person he won’t be able to do this with is Kyle.
Sitting down, Cain admitted to his son that he had made a mistake and wasn’t honest about what he had done from the start.
Kyle pointed out that this completely contradicts what Cain tells him and Isaac about not lying, and owning up when a mistake has been made.
Kyle asked Moira if she plans to forgive Cain and she said she wasn’t sure.
Annoyed his dad had dropped this bombshell days on from his mum’s death, Kyle told Cain that he’s messed up big time and that he should be someone he looks up to.
