Emmerdale’s Moira and Cain Dingle have been through a rollercoaster of emotions recently.
The beloved couple, who tied the knot in 2014, found their relationship on the rocks when Moira discovered Cain’s infidelity with her sister-in-law Ruby Fox-Miligan.
Adding insult to injury, Cain’s betrayal occurred while Moira was undergoing a critical operation due to her brain tumour diagnosis.
Earlier this week, an overwhelmed Moira called it quits on their marriage, unable to bear the betrayal amidst her health crisis, and asked a heartbroken Cain to leave their family home.
During Tuesday’s (March 4) episode, Moira received uplifting news from her doctor that her latest scan was clear following her radiotherapy, indicating she is now in remission.

She immediately shared the positive news with Cain but dropped the bombshell that she wanted him to break the news of their split to the boys, insisting he take responsibility for the heartbreaking revelation.
Soon after, Moira headed to The Woolpack to celebrate, where a worried Ruby questioned her drinking habits. Moira then revealed she was celebrating both her clean bill of health and the end of her marriage.
This led Ruby to attempt to salvage Moira’s marriage, cautioning her against making a mistake and questioning why she couldn’t forgive Cain as he had done when she had an affair with Nate Robinson, reports Leeds Live.
As the episode wrapped up, Cain made his way to the family abode, gearing up to break the news of their split to the lads. In a heartfelt moment, Cain confessed he was still head over heels for her and was full of remorse for his past actions.
Moira then dropped a bombshell – after a deep chat with Ruby, she decided to give their marriage another shot and sealed it with a smooch on an ecstatic Cain. But while fans are buzzing about the pair’s reunion, some reckon Moira might be plotting sweet revenge on Cain in classic soap style.
Hitting Twitter, one viewer questioned the sudden twist: “Where did this come from, what an about turn, is it real or has Moira got a plan”, while another fan was taken aback: “Thought split for good so that was unexpected” and yet another speculated: “Don’t think it’s going to last , I’ve heard that moira is going to have an affair!”
