Emmerdale star Jurell Carter makes big Nate demand after death

Emmerdale star Jurell Carter has broken his silence over Nate Robinson’s demise, demanding justice for his character.
The actor departed the ITV soap in September after five years as Nate in what seemed to be a rather lowkey exit at the time.
Nate simply vanished from our screens after a showdown with Cain (Jeff Hordley), who wrongly came to believe that he was having an affair with Moira (Natalie J Robb).
But the story was turned completely on its head in February when a devastating limo crash saw numerous residents left fighting for their lives after the vehicle ended up crashing into an icy lake.
Among those trapped was Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson), who sunk beneath the watery depths, where she spotted Nate’s dead body.
Amy tragically died before she could relay her discovery to anyone. A flashback episode on Thursday (April 9) subsequently filled in the blanks, with mysterious newcomer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) having killed Nate.
John appears to have something of a hero complex, orchestrating situations where people’s lives are in danger so that he may come to the rescue at the last minute.
The situation with Nate, however, didn’t go as he’d planned, with the farmhand subsequently dying. In a bid to cover his tracks, John disposed of the body in the aforementioned lake.
Discussing the twist, actor Oliver Farnworth said: ‘Obviously, what happened with Nate to all intents and purposes was an accident, but there’s no way that John dealt with it, or is continuing to deal with it, in the right way.

‘Not just from a legal point of view, but from the point of view of the families that will be affected. There will certainly be a lot of fallout from that.’
Following the revelations, actor Jurell Carter – who played Nate between 2019 and 2024 – took to social media.
Resharing the clip of his alter-ego’s demise, the star wrote on his Instagram story: ‘Justice for my boy Nate’.

As for whether justice is served or not, viewers will just have to wait and see but John star Oliver teased what’s to come.
‘There’s lots of big stuff coming up,’ he said. I guess with the sort of web that John’s woven for himself in the back of his mind, he’s anticipating people to start being suspicious, secrets to come out and people to start finding things out.
‘He’s probably got a few set pieces prepared in his mind for dealing with all of this, but really what he’s had to do so far is just kind of think on his feet and adapt to situations around him.’
