Emmerdale filming underway for huge new storyline fans don’t know about

An Emmerdale star has teased there’s “big stuff” on the way in a major storyline on the ITV soap, with it all being kept under wraps.

Filming has only recently begun on the top-secret plot said to involve Sarah Sugden, played by actress Katie Hill. The actress revealed all on the “exciting” plot fans are yet to find out about.

She teased huge scenes were ahead that she was thrilled about, promising big stuff ahead. She did not go into detail about the storyline or what or who it involved, but she did reveal she would be part of it.

Not only that but she appeared to confirm it was something fans currently had no idea about, or at least in part, as she remained coy over the details. She suggested it was a new storyline that she was excited to get her teeth into, saying it was “so big”.

It could involve the Dingles or the Sugdens, given this is who she is linked to. It may also involve Jacob Gallagher and newcomer Kammy who she is currently in a love triangle with.

More details will be revealed soon, and if filming is taking place now it could be a matter of weeks before we see it play out onscreen. Until then fans will have to tune in to find out more, while Katie teased what was on the way.

She said: “Oh my gosh, yes, I am so excited. Every week I just can’t wait to get to work and get on set. Yes it’s some really big stuff and it is so nice as an actress to get my teeth stuck into something so big.

“I am really excited and grateful that I have been given this work to do.” As for her current love triangle plot, Katie teased who she wanted Sarah to end up with out of Jacob and Kammy.

She spilled: “Oh it’s such a tricky decision as there are different sides – I think her and Jacob do still have feelings for each other. They just haven’t communicated it or found their way to admit it to each other yet.

“So I think it would be nice to see them explore their relationship back to each other.” On whether Sarah and Jacob could reunite, she went on: “I think they would need to have a good long conversation about what actually happened with them and their relationship.

“I think it would be nice for both of them to open up to each other because deep down they both still have got feelings for each other and they went through such a lot together. But I think they need to have a proper conversation to communicate everything that went on because they still haven’t had that closure.”

On Jacob and Kammy’s rivalry she added: “I think she knows obviously they don’t like each other that much because of the situation and she’s not too happy about that because obviously she still views Jacob as a friend, but I think right now she’s quite oblivious to how serious the rivalry actually is. I don’t think she’s too happy, she would rather they could be friends, but she’s still not aware of the full extent of what’s going on between them both.”
