Death in Paradise spin-off confirms heartbreaking exit as detective says goodbye
The Australian Death in Paradise spin-off said goodbye to one of its beloved characters on Friday night
Return to Paradise appeared to bid farewell to one character as the series concluded on Friday night. Series two of the Death in Paradise spin-off ended in heartbreak after Glenn (Tai Hara) and Daisy (Andrea Demetriades) did not end up getting married.
After someone was murdered during their wedding, Mackenzie Clarke (Anna Samson) and Colin Cartwright (Lloyd Griffith) got to work to try and solve the case so that the couple could say I do.
However, in the end, Daisy said she couldn’t marry Glenn because she knew deep down he still had feelings for Mack. With the wedding called off, a heartbroken Glenn decided to leave Dolphin Cove and told Mack he wasn’t sure when, or if, he would be back.
In the emotional scene, Mack asked Glenn, “Did I ruin your wedding? I won’t come the next time you do it.”
“We won’t be redoing it,” Glenn explained as he continued to pack up his truck.

“I know that I am obsessive, that I can’t let anything go,” Mack said as she choked back tears. “I do see that I could have done today differently, but I just thought that if I could help you get your wedding day, that I could do something that made you happy.”
“I am so sorry,” she sobbed. “I don’t know why I am like this.”
Glenn replied, “That would be the easiest thing to do, wouldn’t it? Blame you, Mack; it’s all your fault. But it’s not. It is not your fault for coming back to Dolphin Cove, for trying to catch a killer, you are who you are.”
He added, “I am the reason everything falls apart, two weddings so far, and what do they have in common? Something is not right, and I am not going to figure out what it is by living the same life in the same place.”
“How long as you going for?” Mack asked, to which Glenn replied, “A while, Mackenzie. A long while.”

Fans rushed to social media to share their thoughts, with one predicting a Death in Paradise crossover. Could Glenn be heading to Saint Marie for a break?
One fan theorised, “Loved it, but really the honeymoon should have gone to Saint Marie. Or is that where Glenn is going?”
“He has to be in series three to marry Mackenzie,” someone else commented.
A third added, “Looking forward to the new love interest if he’s (Glenn) has now left.”
“Glenn has to be in it to marry Mackenzie,” another went on, while one stated, “Glenn backed his pickup quickly and left. He must have been ready to quit.”
One fan pleaded, “Hope there is another series.”
