However, while fans wait for series 15, we’ve rounded up seven other cosy crime dramas to watch. From solving mysteries in quaint villages to high-stakes murders in LA, there’s something for everyone.

David Mitchell

Ludwig

John ‘Ludwig’ Taylor becomes an accidental detective in this BBC series. An avid puzzle fan, he must piece together the biggest mystery yet: his brother’s disappearance. However, along the way, Ludwig is pulled into his brother’s world, where he poses as a detective solving multiple murders. David Mitchell takes the lead as Ludwig, while Anna Maxwell Martin plays his sister-in-law, Lucy Betts–Taylor. The series has a rating of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, with one fan commenting: “Loved it! Comfort blanket TV. The main beats were predictable, but I didn’t care; I was having a great time.”

Magpie Murders

Magpie Murders

Based on the book by Anthony Horowitz, this drama, which aired on the BBC, follows editor Susan Ryeland, who discovers author Alan Conway is dead. Even more intriguing is that the last chapter of his latest novel is missing. Susan uses Alan’s novel as a guide to work out who is responsible for his murder. The series has a 100% rating, and one fan declared it a “masterpiece”.
