It’s nearly time to say goodbye to another season of Death in Paradise as series 15 is drawing to a close.

Following a short break, the long-running BBC programme returns once more this week as viewers will discover how the surprise appearance of DI Mervin Wilson’s ( Don Gilet ) niece, Eloise (Avah Cotterell), will impact him.

Prior to the series finale, the BBC have released a clip with Digital Spy of what’s to come and it appears as though Mervin is facing a turbulent period after the fresh family revelation.

In the preview, he’s shown talking to DS Naomi Thomas (Shantol Jackson) as he confesses: “No, I am not good,” before revealing the latest development in his life.

It was only lately that Mervin chose to remove Solomon from his life, understanding he required some distance from him following his arrest.

Despite attempting to dismiss Eloise, his new relative made it evident that she had no plans of leaving.

A synopsis for the forthcoming episode states: “The body of Giles, an eccentric monster hunter, is recovered from the sea.

“He bears injuries oddly suggestive of the legendary creature he’s spent years chasing – the Lusca. Mervin’s life is turned upside down by an unexpected visit from his niece, Eloise.”

While the upcoming episode will signal the conclusion of Death in Paradise, there’s positive news for devotees of the Paradise universe, as a fresh series of Beyond Paradise launches an hour earlier.

The fourth season will debut on Friday (March 27) on BBC One as Kris Marshall returns to his role as DI Humphrey Goodman.
