Death in Paradise star addresses Celebrity Traitors rumours as he drops ‘spoiler’

Celebrity Traitors fans are desperate to know who will enter the famous castle.
The hit BBC reality show is set to return to our screens later this year and as speculation swirls over who will take part, Death in Paradise star Ben Miller has seemingly shut down rumours that he has been asked to appear on the celebrity version.
The actor, who had been linked to the forthcoming second series of the hit BBC spin-off, appeared on Wednesday’s (April 22) episode of Good Morning Britain alongside hosts Ed Balls and Susanna Reid as well as entertainment reporter Richard Arnold.
The star, who played DI Richard Poole on the long-running BBC crime drama, came on the ITV breakfast show to speak about his new children’s book.
However it was clear, Richard wouldn’t let Ben leave the studio without addressing rumours that he is set to appear on the new series of Celebrity Traitors.

Turning to the actor he said: “Before I let you go.. Traitor or faithful? You’re one of the many names in the mix and I know filming starts in Scotland.”
Ben shut down the rumours as he replied: “I would love to do it. I haven’t been invited.. Spoiler. I would be a faithful, I don’t know how anyone could be a…”
Richard didn’t seem to believe Ben as he jumped in and said: “That’s what they all say.” Ben teased: “Maybe I am just saying that, right?”
“Oh ok, right. There we go, maybe we can’t trust caramel coloured jacket as much as we thought we could,” Richard added.
Last month, it emerged that the BBC had secured a major new deal for both The Traitors and Celebrity Traitors, keeping the franchise on screens for years to come.

This means fans can expect several more series of the main show as well as more celebrity editions, meaning the format is set to remain a key part of the BBC’s entertainment line-up until 2030.
Last year, Claudia Winkleman took on hosting duties for the first celebrity version, which featured some major names, including Clare Balding, Tom Daley, Kate Garraway, Paloma Faith, and Sir Stephen Fry.
However, the Traitors Jonathan Ross, Cat Burns, and Alan Carr certainly didn’t make it easy and wasted no time murdering their fellow stars in the dead of night, one by one.
In the end, Chatty Man’s Alan fooled his co-star and bagged a whopping £87,500. It’s safe to say his win made TV history.
