Emmerdale fans spot ‘daft’ detail as Robert Sugden is spiked in horror incident
Emmerdale viewers were left far from impressed with Aaron Dingle and Victoria Sugden's lack of concern for Robert Sugden after he was spiked during a recent episode

Emmerdale viewers have voiced their frustration over scenes in which Robert Sugden was advised to be “more grateful” towards John Sugden following a drink spiking incident.
Actor Ryan Hawley returned to his role as Robert Sugden this year, after a six-year hiatus. His comeback coincided with his ex-husband Aaron Dingle’s impending nuptials to John Sugden – Robert’s half-brother.
Robert managed to interrupt the ceremony just before the vows were exchanged, and professed his love to a stunned Aaron. He confessed: “Every single second I was inside, I never stopped being in love with you.”
He revealed that his sentence had been shortened and despite sharing a kiss with Aaron, he still chose to marry John Sugden.

The villagers are yet to discover John’s true character, including the fact that he inadvertently killed Nate Robinson, whose funeral is taking place this week, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Robert has been suspicious and has been trying to uncover what his half-brother is concealing – all in an attempt to win back Aaron, naturally.
In recent episodes, Robert attempted to make Aaron jealous by going on a very public date with a man named Owen. In a shocking twist, Owen spiked Robert’s drink, leaving him unconscious.
John bundled him into his van and, while brandishing a syringe over him, decided to play the hero and “save” him – a recurring theme for John.
In Tuesday’s (15th July) episode, Owen rocked up at the GP surgery seeking sleeping pills from John. Recognising him, John booted him out, accusing him of drugging people’s drinks.
Robert caught the exchange and told John he was out of line for being there, insisting that John should’ve dragged him to the hospital to report him.
Aaron, overhearing the spat, approached the duo and chided Robert: “He saved you, you should be thanking him not having a go.”
On Reddit user commented: “Bit annoying that Vic and Aaron’s response to Robert being spiked is ‘you should be thanking John’ and not ‘you were almost date raped are you okay?'”.
A second chimed in with sarcasm: “‘Oh yeah thanks for LOCKING ME IN A VAN AND TRYING TO DRUG ME!’ Absolute nonsense.”
While a third pointed out the odd reaction: “You’re right it’s completely out of character – I know he’s trying to put on the front of not being invested in Robert, but spiking is serious, if it happens to anyone you’d be concerned.”
They added: “The fact that nobody but Robert was saying ‘should’ve taken him to hospital’ is truly daft.”
