Emmerdale fans think they’re onto something following reports a beloved character might be set to meet a grisly end.
This all kicked off when a photo surfaced online, showing what looked like a fresh grave in the local cemetery. A fan who nabbed a behind-the-scenes look at the ITV show’s set couldn’t wait to post pics all over an Emmerdale Facebook group.
They gushed about meeting the “gorgeous Billy (Jay Kontzle)” and dropped a bombshell snap: of a a brand-new grave. Alongside the photos, the social media sleuth posted: “Did the Emmerdale tour on Saturday and we got to meet the gorgeous Billy (Jay Kontzle).”
“Also, there was a fresh GRAVE! ! ! See pics. I told Billy it better not be his grave and he said no but I am in that story line! – any guesses???”. The post got the rumour mill churning as fans rushed to throw in their two cents on who’s getting the chop.
Chins were wagging all over as one fan chimed in: “Leyla is leaving for good soon so it could be hers.”, reports Leicestershire Live. Another jumped on the bandwagon saying: “It’s Leyla.” A different voice chimed in with certainty: “Definitely Leyla x.” And another added fuel to the fire: “Must be Leyla’s grave. It’s well documented now that she’s going to die soon. My bet’s an accidental drug O/D.”
Looks like Roxy Shahidi is waving goodbye to her Emmerdale stint after slaying it for 16 whole years as Leyla Harding, leaving telly watchers bracing themselves for what’s been hyped up as one heck of an exit tale. Word on the street has it that Leyla might just have a tragic farewell on the cards, sure to leave fans reeling.

The telly star has had a right whirlwind time lately, racking up gigs on Dancing on Ice as well as nipping onto the set of ITV’s Drama Queens.
Spilling the tea to The Sun, a mole dished: “Roxy has adored her time on the soap and has made so many happy memories since first joining when she was just 17. The cast have become like family to her, and she has grown so much as an actress. But now, she feels it’s the perfect time to spread her wings and try something new.”

On Emmerdale, Roxy’s character’s been through a lot, having her fair share of drama that peaked when she got targeted by a stalker not too long ago.
When she’s not stealing scenes, Roxy is all about those zen vibes, bossing it as a yoga guru. She kicked off Yoga Lunch Club and keeps her YouTube fans in the loop with top-notch yoga tutorials.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
