Emmerdale fans work out what’s really wrong with Chas Dingle after worrying scene
Emmerdale fans feared Chas Dingle could be a secret victim of the limo crash after she appeared to be in pain in the aftermath on the ITV soap, but now fans think a new plot is on the way
There could be more worrying scenes ahead on Emmerdale after a scene with Chas Dingle.
The character sparked fears she would be a secret crash death on Wednesday night, as she appeared to be in pain. Chas had been slightly injured in the crash, after the limo slammed onto an icy lake.
Suzy Merton and Leyla Cavanagh were killed off in tragic scenes, with a third death heavily teased at the end of Wednesday’s episode. Viewers who have seen Thursday’s episode will know the outcome of this, while fans are now concerned about a moment with Chas that aired on Wednesday.
She was shown wincing in pain and holding her side, clearly in agony. Her pal Charity Dingle was concerned and asked her if she was okay, and Chas downplayed it all.
She told Charity she’d been checked over and given some painkillers after the twinged her back crossing the ice. But given how much pain she seemed to be in, fans are sure there is more to it.

Taking to social media, fans now think a worrying storyline is on the cards for Chas following her cancer diagnosis last year. Fans believe her back pain could be linked to this, seeming to recall scenes prior to the crash where she was in pain.
One viewer posted: “Chas suffering back pain from the fall onto the ice. A few months back she was advised to have chemotherapy as a precaution following her double mastectomy operation and chose not to. I hope this is not the start of another cancer story for her.”
Another fan agreed: “Did anyone else get the impression Chas’s “back pain” was going to turn out to be something far worse? I know she slipped on the ice, and “tweaking” her back is a real possibility, but I can’t help thinking there will be more to it.”
A third fan replied: “Yes. Almost definitely. Either she’s more badly injured from the crash than she’s letting on, or it’s something more sinister, possibly linked to her cancer. The theory kept being shared as another post read: “Spinal mets from breast cancer but they probs would’ve picked that up.
One viewer wondered if it was unrelated to her cancer, and possibly an addiction plot. They wrote: “I hope it doesn’t turn out to be another pain killer addiction story.” Meanwhile fans are also worried for her partner Liam Cavanagh who was seriously injured in the crash.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
