Kim Tate (Claire King) tabled an important discussion among members of the Tate and Dingle families in Emmerdale this week, which ended with her developing a new plan.
Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and Caleb Miligan (William Ash) have been at war with each other ever since Caleb learnt about Joe stealing his kidney. It was Caleb’s brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) that stepped in to try and sort the situation out, worried about where things could go if their feud continued.
He arrived at Home Farm to speak with Kim, asserting a conversation needed to be had between them all.
The chat concluded with Caleb accepting Kim’s offer of more land in exchange for ending the fight with Joe. Afterwards, when Kim and Joe were alone, she issued a warning to her family member.
Kim said that they now must act like they’re family and remain close, adamant if they work well together, they can create an unstoppable empire.
The expression on Joe’s face suggested that he was very much here for Kim’s idea, but he’s a Tate after all, family loyalty isn’t exactly his thing.
As a result of this, it’s left some fans of the ITV soap wondering if Joe is only pretending he’s in love with Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), just so he can get closer to the Home Farm business.
They believe that while Joe will attempt to destroy Kim, he will fail, paving the way for Kim’s son Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) to return and takeover instead.
‘It won’t be Joe taking Home Farm from Kim, it will be Jamie mark my words’, an audience member theorised on a Facebook page.
‘I’ve said this for months! They need to bring him back’, another wrote.
Echoing the theory, this fan said: ‘They could easily be setting up his return so I agree’.
Jamie Tate was last seen in 2021. He is the son of Frank Tate, making Caleb his half-brother.
He caused a great deal of trouble the last time he was in the village, but remained adamant he didn’t want anything to do with Kim the last time we saw him, so that still opens up the opportunity for him to plot some sort of revenge on her.
Kim better watch out, that’s for certain…
