Emmerdale fans have to wait a bit longer to get their fix of the ITV soap today, as the episode has been pulled from streaming early on ITVX.

The soap made the move to streaming last year, with episodes premiering on ITVX at 7am, ahead of the usual ITV1 broadcast later in the evening.

However, there have been occasions where the episodes have been held back to avoid spoilers on social media, usually ahead of a big twist.

Sharing a post to Instagram, Emmerdale confirmed that there would be no early ITVX release ahead of tonight’s episode, where the outcome of Aaron Dingle’s (Danny Miller) and John Sugden’s (Oliver Farnworth) wedding day will finally be revealed.

‘FYI: Emmerdale will not be available to stream tomorrow (Wed 28th) at 7am on ITVX,’ they wrote, alongside a picture of Aaron and John in their wedding attire.

‘So we’ll see you all at 7.30pm on ITV1 instead, yeah? You bring the biscuits and we’ll make the brews (we’ll try to not spill any tea).’

In tonight’s episode, John is once again plagued with visions of the wedding ending in disaster, as he pictures Aaron backing out at the altar, claiming he doesn’t trust him.

When he snaps back to reality, he watches Aaron drive away from him.

As Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins), and Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) cover for the grooms’ absence to the increasingly impatient guests, John pleads his case to Aaron, who is still unsure about whether or not to go ahead with the wedding.

The relief of the guests’ is palpable when both men eventually turn up to the ceremony, though with Mack Boyd (Lawrence Robb) mysteriously absent, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) is asked to step in as Aaron’s best man.

As the ceremony begins, will it be smooth sailing, or is something – or someone – set to rock the boat?
