Emmerdale Nate Robinson’s killer ‘sealed’ after grim update – and it’s ‘not John’

Emmerdale aired a grim update about Nate Robinson amid major hints he has secretly been murdered on the ITV soap - and it may have dropped a hint about his killer

There was a new update about missing Nate Robinson on Emmerdale on Tuesday night

There was a new update about missing Nate Robinson on Emmerdale on Tuesday night, and it could shed light on his apparent murder.

The character left the village for a new start in Shetland back in September, but his exit sparked so much confusion and concern. He disappeared without saying goodbye to anyone after a betrayal, and since the he’s cut off all contact with his family including beloved daughter Frankie.

His ex Tracy has only had text messages from him and no calls, while no one else seems to have head from him. It was little Frankie’s birthday on Tuesday, and Tracy told Nate’s father Cain Dingle that Nate had not been in touch.

She was surprised to see he’d sent her a gift in the post, but had not called her or messaged her. Tracy was annoyed, while Cain tried to make her see it was better than nothing.

But what they are yet to discover is that Nate has seemingly been murdered, with major hints that the body found in the lake by Amy Wyatt last week is him. Amy died before she could tell anyone about the corpse, and we still have no idea what happened to Nate or who killed him – while a hooded figure was seen watching the lake on Friday.

So when we saw Tracy receive a gift from Nate, it certainly left fans sickened but also curious. The person who sent the parcel is pretending to be their murder victim Nate.

But the killer will have had to have known when Frankie’s birthday was in order to send the present on the right day. Some fans wondered if this was a major clue as to who killed Nate, amid several theories putting John Sugden in the frame.

But will John be ruled out? Some viewers pointed out online that John would unlikely know when Frankie’s birthday was in advance, unless of course he found the date on Nate’s phone, or someone told him.

One theory read: “I doubt John would know Frankie’s birthday and wouldn’t it be a bit suspect of him to ask Aaron?!!” as Another said: “Would John really know the date of Frankie’s birthday? Like would Tracy have told him, and would he have felt the need to ask someone? Surely the person who killed Nate is someone who knows the date of Frankie’s birthday, able to order a gift to arrive on the right day.”

Others were convinced Nate’s death was linked to the dodgy dealings Nate and uncle Caleb Miligan got themselves caught up in months before he left. One fan said: “Is there a link between Nate’s death, Caleb and the drug dealers?”

Another wrote: “Could Nate’s murder have something to do with the drug dealers he helped the police catch when he worked as a driver for Caleb? That could be why Caleb ends up in hospital, too.” But if it was someone who knew Frankie’s birthday, that could place anyone close to Nate or Tracy in the frame!
