Emmerdale ‘seals killer John’s next target’ amid Nate twist – and it’s another Dingle
Emmerdale viewers saw John Sugden furious with more than one character on Wednesday night, as the Anthony Fox murder cover-up came under threat on the ITV soap once more
There could be hints at a character being in serious danger, after Emmerdale’s latest episode on Wednesday night.
John Sugden is tipped to be the killer of Nate Robinson by viewers, after N ate’s body was seemingly shown at the bottom of a lake in a recent episode. The twist appeared to confirm Nate never left the village in September, and isn’t in Shetland after all.
Clues on the body including clothing and a bracelet appeared to identify the corpse as Nate, with Amy Wyatt spotting the body and also believing it to be the former resident. Amy sadly died before she could tell anyone properly what she saw, with her husband Matty Barton not able to understand her final words.
Fans are convinced John, the last person to see Nate onscreen before his death, is behind the murder amid him also helping to cover up the demise of Anthony Fox. Viewers saw Aaron Dingle’s boyfriend furious in the latest episode after a run-in of sorts with Aaron’s mother Chas Dingle.
But could new scenes on the ITV soap indicate that she could be his next victim with him desperate to get her onside? Chas was making comments about John, telling Aaron she did not trust him and it’s clear there’s something about him that she is concerned about.

Before any confirmation about Nate’s murder and if John is the killer, new scenes showed John continuing to hide the whereabouts of Anthony’s body after he disposed of it weeks earlier. With Chas fearing the cover-up will fall apart and she and Aaron could be sent to prison, she came up with a plan.
She shocked Aaron with the plan to confess all to the police, or at least come up with a story that puts them in the clear. When John found this out he fumed at Aaron, believing he could be put in the frame.
John made it clear how he felt about Chas’ plan, even grassing her up to Cain Dingle and Ruby and Caleb Miligan, who are also covering up Anthony’s murder. He was seen making a comment about Chas to Aaron, almost suggesting that she wouldn’t waste any time in having him take the fall.

He seemed threatened and took action, finally revealing the location where he claims to have buried Anthony’s body. He then told the whole group about Chas threatening to go to the police to save her own skin, leaving her in the bad books of her siblings.
With Chas clearly not trusting him, asking Aaron if he did, John confronted her by asking her why she would question his motives. She claimed she appreciated what he did for them but it was clear she wasn’t being totally honest.
With John vowing to do anything for Aaron and to keep Chas on side, might he end up doing something that sparks Chas’ suspicions further? Could Chas end up doing some digging into his past, and might he feel the need to silence her like he possibly did Nate?
