Emmerdale fans are in for a dramatic week to come. Robert Sugden finds himself in a sticky situation as he tries to distract himself from Aaron Dingle and John’s budding romance. After being drugged and kidnapped, he winds up in the back of John’s van – could this be curtains for him?
Elsewhere, Joe Tate is hell-bent on getting his own back on Billy, while Paddy Dingle starts to worry that his dad, Bear Wolf, might be battling a serious health problem.
Meanwhile, Cain Dingle is left fuming when he stumbles upon granddaughter Sarah Sugden’s IVF journey. Things go from bad to worse for Cain when he discovers that Tracy Robinson has banned him from attending son Nate’s funeral, reports OK!.

Feeling guilty about Victoria’s black eye, Robert decides to pack his bags, leaving Victoria worried sick. John puts the squeeze on Caleb to give Robert the boot from his trial job.
Robert is down in the dumps when Caleb spins a yarn, and Jai unwittingly spills the beans about John’s interference. Robert squares up to John, who becomes even more determined to run Robert out of the village after clocking Vic’s black eye.
Robert looks for a diversion
John pops round to Vic’s to urge her to report Robert for hitting her. Overhearing this, Robert is gutted and turns to Aaron for a shoulder to cry on, only to be given the cold shoulder.
Robert seeks solace in booze and casual romances, but his mood takes a nosedive when Aaron remains indifferent to his attempts to stir up envy.
John seizes the opportunity
John swoops in when Robert is drugged during a date, taking an unconscious Robert away in his van.
The outlook seems bleak for Robert as he lies still in the back of John’s van, with his murderous brother mulling over his lifeless form, syringe at the ready.
Robert wakes up terrified in the back of the van, clueless about how he got there… But is John about to end his life?
Sarah’s surgery takes a surprising twist
Jacob unwittingly spills the beans about Sarah’s IVF plans, leaving Cain fuming that Jacob is more clued up about his granddaughter’s life than he is.
As Sarah wrestles with her mortality and reservations about motherhood, she’s taken by surprise when Jacob volunteers to be the sperm donor. Torn between choices, will Sarah agree to his offer?
At the hospital, Sarah values Charity’s steadfast support as the enormity of the day dawns on them both.
Charity tries to reassure Sarah that she can still back her, even though she suspects she might be making a mistake. Charity is left distraught after inadvertently upsetting Sarah just before she goes in for her operation.
As Cain and Charity nervously anticipate their granddaughter’s return from surgery, Cain attempts to comfort a disheartened Charity after her ill-timed row with Sarah. Their worry intensifies when the surgeon reveals that Sarah’s operation didn’t proceed as expected.
Belle tries to secure the Dingles an invitation to Nate’s funeral
Belle overhears Tracy planning Nate’s funeral and seizes the opportunity to ask if she’s now allowing Cain to attend.
However, when Tracy confirms he’s still unwelcome, Belle takes it upon herself to change her mind. Despite Belle’s efforts to make Tracy realise that no one knows the truth about Nate’s demise, Tracy feels blamed for his death and firmly decides to bar the entire Dingle family from the service.
Cain is deeply upset by the news. The next day, Belle convinces Vanessa to try and persuade Tracy to reconsider the Dingle exclusion.
But when a heartbroken Tracy tells Vanessa that Nate’s funeral is her final chance to make amends for failing him in life, Vanessa can’t bring herself to ask her sister to rethink.
Joe plans his retaliation against Billy
When Joe finds his car has been damaged, he’s certain Billy is responsible and resolves to give him a taste of his own medicine. The following day, Joe is alarmed and suspicious when he realises someone has entered his bedroom and stolen his autoimmune suppressant medication.
After Joe voices his suspicions to Sam that Billy is subtly seeking revenge, Sam urges Joe to face Billy. However, Joe’s attempt to confront Billy at the Depot ends in embarrassment when things don’t go as planned.
When Sam proposes that a replacement for Graham might earn him the respect he deserves, Joe starts plotting….
Billy lands himself in a pickle when Joe bumps into Shaun and persuades him to teach Billy’s ex a lesson in manners….
Paddy is worried about his father
Paddy shares his concerns with Gabby about Bear’s recent strange behaviour. Gabby suggests that Paddy should take his father to the doctor for a dementia test as soon as possible.
Paddy grimly accepts her advice, which mirrors his worst fears.
Bear’s annoyed reaction to Paddy’s gentle suggestion of a medical check-up only increases Paddy’s concern for his father. Gabby proposes that Paddy could try an online dementia test on Bear without him knowing.
However, Paddy and Marlon quickly discover that giving the dementia test to an unsuspecting Bear will be more difficult than they thought.
