Major Emmerdale character’s death ‘foreshadowed’ with murder warning

Poor Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle). His little life in Emmerdale is close to falling apart after Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) confirmed she no longer wanted to be married to him.
Dawn’s eyes turned the other way when Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) returned to the village over Christmas. After a drunken kiss, things spiralled when they slept together, and then started an affair.
Dawn and Joe laid ground rules, which went out the window pretty quickly. They initially said they’d just meet up for sex and a fun distraction from their lives, but they then developed romantic feelings for each other.
Stuck between Joe and Billy, Dawn spent weeks trying to decide if she should take a risk and start a proper relationship with Joe, or work on her and Billy’s marriage.
Ultimately, she chose Joe.

Dawn has told Billy about her feelings regarding their relationship, but hasn’t mentioned anything about another man. As a result of the unknown and processing the shock, Billy has been left wondering if his wife has been having an affair.
While he was on the right track, Billy took a wrong turn when he concluded Ross Barton (Michael Parr) was the person seeing Dawn. He violently confronted Ross in the kitchen of Home Farm later in the day, which was unfortunately witnessed by Billy’s adopted daughter Clemmie.
Not wanting to upset the youngsters in Home Farm anymore, Billy concluded that moving out would be best. He packed a few bags and left, and the entire thing was witnessed by a sly looking Joe.
Just as Billy left, Joe told Dawn that it wouldn’t be long until they could tell everyone about their relationship.
Clearly struggling, Dawn told Joe they’d have to keep their connection a secret for the foreseeable because if Billy found out, he’d murder Joe.
Dawn broke up her marriage because she believed being with Joe was the right decision, but with them unable to go public with their relationship, has it really all been worth it?
