There is about to be an answer to one of the biggest questions plaguing our lips – what happened to Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter)?
When Emmerdale’s Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) slipped beneath the ice after the limo crash, she was left silently screaming under water when she came face to face with a dead body.
The key for viewers was the bracelet on the corpse. In the weeks leading up to the discovery, there had been emphasis placed on the bracelets little Frankie makes.
The one on the dead body bore a remarkable resemblance to those.
Then as Amy died, her final word appeared to be ‘Nate’, although husband Matty (Ash Palmisciano) failed to understand her message. It seemed all but certain that Nate is the one floating amongst the reeds.
Compounding the idea that Nate is a murder victim is the fact Tracy (Amy Walsh) has not received any money from Nate since he left, and the only contact she has had has been text messages, which could easily have been sent from someone else.
With Tracy getting the sack from the shop for stealing, she’s now forced to do something about Nate’s lack of support.
As Tracy offloads her woes, Kerry (Laura Norton) gets herself involved and urges Tracy to start looking for Nate.
It’s the first step in solving the mystery and now it’s a matter of time before his body is found. And when he does, who will be to blame?
‘So I knew about it a while ago’, Jurell Carter told Digital Spy, discussing the twist regarding Nate.
‘Ever since I heard, I’ve been excited to see it play out. As the audience still doesn’t know exactly how it’ll go from here, I’m excited for them to see it now.
‘This is just the start of the unravelling. Amy has just passed away on the show and she knew that it was Nate down there in the lake. So obviously this is just the start of the audience getting to know what happened. I’m really excited for them to find out!’.
