Nicola launches response to Emmerdale village emergency

Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) eyes up a chance to impress her fellow Emmerdale villagers soon, as she realises how she can help with the water disaster.
This week, a nightmarish situation will unfold at Butlers Farm when the slurry tank leaks. Due to the fact Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) keeps an eye on it, he is blamed, leaving real culprit John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) to slip away into the shadows and watch the chaotic situation unfold.
As if putting his sister’s business at risk wasn’t enough, Mack is then told the water in the village has been contaminated.
His guilt increasing, he later discovers Victoria’s (Isabel Hodgins) son Harry has drank some of the dirty water and has to be rushed to hospital.

This leaves John forced to quietly stew in his negative emotions. He caused the leak in an act of revenge on Mack, but it’s now put his little nephew in A&E.
As a new week begins, poor Mack is beside himself with worry.
With Harry on a drip at hospital, Mack is ostracised by Moira (Natalie J Robb), who has learnt her insurance company won’t help, because the slurry leak happened as a result of recklessness.
Mack desperately tries to do everything he can to make amends with the people who keep confronting him.
Meanwhile, in the café, Nicola is a hot mess about the village water supply.
A few days later though, an idea forms and Nicola makes an announcement – she has a temporary water supply for everyone while they wait for the mains to get fixed.
Nicola is very impressed with herself, but will this development help ease Mackenzie’s guilt?
