Death in Paradise series 15 episode 2 features Killing Eve and EastEnders stars

Death in Paradise's second episode of the new series is packed full of famous faces from a number of hit shows.

Death in Paradise series 15 has landed and this week’s guest star roster features Line of Duty and EastEnders icons.

Last week witnessed BBC’s beloved cosy crime drama return with viewers delighted to see the latest from the gorgeous island of Saint Marie.

In series 15’s second instalment, DI Mervin Wilson (portrayed by Don Gilet) will confront a killing that occurs at an upmarket couples retreat.

Yet, everyone soon finds themselves puzzled when it appears that all of the suspects possess an alibi so how could the baffling crime have occurred?

EastEnders fanatics will spot the star portraying this week’s victim as none other than actress Scarlett Alice Johnson who played Vicki Fowler in the early noughties.

Johnson has subsequently appeared in the BBC Three sitcom Pramface and Tommy McConnell in The Good Karma Hospital.

She portrays psychologist Keira Mayhew who is discovered dead after drowning in the sea at the Caribbean retreat.

Alasdair Hartnell – Ace Bhatti

Amongst the couples attending the therapy retreat is husband Alasdair Hartnell but what reason could he have for killing Keira?

He is portrayed by actor Ace Bhatti who played PCC Rohan Sindwhani in the BBC crime drama Line of Duty and EastEnders villain Yusef Khan.

Stacey Wright – Lizzie Davidson

Fellow retreat participant Stacey Wright is played by actress Lizzie Davidson.

She is best recognised for starring in the BBC Three sitcom Such Brave Girls, which centres around a mum and her two daughters who attempt to rebuild their lives after her husband and their father walks out.

Margot Hartnell – Hermione Norris

Margot Hartnell, wife of Alasdair Hartnell, is played by Hermione Norris in Death in Paradise.

Viewers will most likely remember Norris as Karen Marsden in the hit drama Cold Feet, though she has also appeared in Luther, Between Two Worlds, Doc Martin and Silent Witness.

Luke Wright – Sean Delaney

Actor Sean Delaney is known for BBC crime drama Killing Eve as hacker Kenny Stowton, the son of legendary head of the Russian desk at MI6, Carolyn Martens.

It is believed that Delaney will play the husband Luke Wright of retreat attendee Stacey Wright.

Anton Busette – Gary Wilmot

Credited as playing a character called Anton Busette is actor and presenter Gary Wilmot who shot to fame as a contestant on New Faces.

He subsequently went on to present programmes like You and Me, Showstoppers and So You Want To Be Top, but in more recent years, he provided the voice of Trevor Evans in the animated series Fireman Sam.

Solomon Clarke – Daniel Ward

Viewers were introduced to Mervin Wilson’s brother Solomon Clarke last week who will be returning for episode two.

Following his theft from him, Solomon attempts to make amends but ends up landing them both in hot water.

He is played by actor Daniel Ward who has featured in a handful of programmes including This Is Going to Hurt, Mood and Everything Now.

Death in Paradise continues every Friday at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
